Get to Know Kids at Play
Kids at Play is a warm, inclusive service for children with diverse needs. We provide preschool, afterschool, interest-based clubs, and play and social skills support in a child-led, play-based environment.
Our aim is to create a high-quality, home-from-home setting where children feel safe, understood and supported to grow in confidence, connection and enjoyment.
We provide a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for children and their families.
Our setting is designed to be inclusive, welcoming and developmentally appropriate, supporting children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development in a meaningful way.
Children are encouraged to express themselves through play, creativity, music, movement and other engaging activities that reflect their age, stage and individual needs.
Children attending Kids at Play range in age from 3 to 15 years, and we organise groups in a way that is appropriate to their age and stage.
A formal diagnosis is not required for a child to attend. We understand that the diagnostic process can be long and complex, and that families may be at different points in their journey.
Our focus is on understanding each child’s needs and providing the right support in a warm and inclusive environment.
